Magic Valley SAFE KIDS Coalition offers knee, elbow, and wrist protection for $10 whenever gas scooter used
Summer activities like skateboarding, inline skating, and riding scooters bring an increase in the number of falls, cuts and abrasions from crashes. But the Magic Valley SAFE KIDS Coalition has protective equipment available to help reduce the number of injuries.
A full set of 2 knee pads, 2 elbow pads, and 2 wrist guards are available from SAFE KIDS for only $10. "Our goal is to reduce the number of unintentional injuries that happen to kids," said Kyla Kelly, Director of the Magic Valley SAFE KIDS Coalition. "This equipment can help us reach our goal."
This protective equipment is recommended for those who roller skate, inline skate, ride scooters, play roller hockey, or skateboard. SAFE KIDS has equipment available in both child and adult sizes.
SAFE KIDS offers low cost infant, convertible and booster car safety seats to families of all income levels. They also offer reduced prices on gunlocks, helmets, and other protective equipment. Car Safety Seat Checks are available by appointment. The coalition also provides educational materials, classes and assistance to both individuals and groups on injury prevention programs including bicycle, fire, water, sports, firearm, home, farm, playground, motor vehicle, animal and child seat safety.
