Helmets required for youth on scooters now that wholesale electric scooters are selling so well

Effective Jan. 1, 2003, California law requires all children under the age of 18 years to wear an approved protective helmet when using wheeled transportation; this includes bicycles, scooters, skateboards and in-line skates. As a major provider of health care in this community and advocates for child safety, we must be careful to encourage all people to use proper protective gear and prevent injury.
